A quick and simple way to record noise nuisance that is affecting you.

What is The Noise App?

You can use the app on your mobile phone or tablet to record noise that is disturbing you in and around your home. The Noise App is simple to use and can be downloaded for free.

How to Download the App

Download The Noise App from the App Store for iPhone and iPad users or the Play Store if you have an Android phone or tablet. Search for ‘The Noise App’ and tap ‘Get’ or ‘Install’ to download the app.

Check your device is connected to broadband to avoid any mobile data usage.

The app will prompt you to set up an account – follow the steps as indicated on the app. When the app asks which Investigator/Housing Provider to send recordings to, select ‘Viewpoint Housing Association’.

Please make sure you read The Noise App Conditions of Responsible Use which you will be required to sign up to when using the App.

What Happens Next?

Once you have downloaded the app and set up your account, it’s very straight forward to use.

After you have used the app to record the noise:

• The Viewpoint housing team will be notified of your recordings via a secure site. They will then contact you to discuss the next steps.
• Each recording lasts for up to 30 seconds, there is no limit to the number of recordings you can make.
• There’s also a ‘Noise Diary’ section for you to include any additional information you wish to provide about how the noise is affecting you.
