Our community has a wealth of creative talent and our Craft Cafés, which opened in April 2012, give people a chance to socialise and be creative with friends. Generously funded by the Viewpoint Trust, with Impact Arts providing materials, staff and volunteers, the cafés are open to all our tenants and care home residents.
The cafés are safe, welcoming spaces for people to socialise and express their creativity. From painting and drawing to jewellery making and sculpture, our Craft Cafés bridge the gap between care and housing support, creating a vibrant creative space and improving social interaction.
You can read more about the work Impact Arts does on the Impact Arts Website.
The St Raphael's Café is open 3 days a week (Tues - Thurs).
Workshops run from 10am-12pm and 1:30pm-4pm.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, workshops are only open to care home residents at this time: Tuesdays for Marian House residents, Wednesdays and Thursdays for St. Raphael’s residents.
