Perspectives, a selection of artwork by Craft Café Edinburgh members, is being exhibited at Newington Library from Monday 1st April until Wednesday 24th April 2019.
This exhibition will be exploring the theme of perspective in all of its manifestations. Perspective can be a vantage point, a point of view, an attitude, or a sense of depth in a two dimensional image. These artworks will relate to this theme in some way.
This is part of Craft Café Edinburgh’s Windows project, in which members were given a small square frame and encouraged to design a window that looks out onto a view of their creation. This could be a memory, a special place, a dream, a surreal invention, a future time or the present moment. The idea was to think about the view they would like to have through a window that could look out onto anything.
Craft Cafe workshops in Edinburgh take place each week in Viewpoint care homes in the city. Find more information here.
