Viewpoint Housing Association (VHA) is a registered non-profit making organisation providing a range of general needs housing, supported housing and care services for older people in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife.

We are seeking a highly motivated Housing Officer to join our Neighbourhood Team, delivering high quality customer focused housing.  You must put our customers at the heart of everything, take personal pride and responsibility for delivering great outcomes for our customers and our business.  If you have the desire and drive to achieve creative solutions then this is the role for you.  You would be based at our Head Office in the Grange area of Edinburgh and provide a generic housing management service within a patch of approximately 350 properties within Edinburgh and Fife.

Reporting directly to your locality Housing Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective front-line service, delivering high quality housing management services to VHA’s tenants across all tenure types and support, manage and develop the senior co-ordinator within your area of responsibility.

You will deliver excellent performance results that meet the strategic objectives of VHA within a culture that demands high level tenant engagement, therefore you will be visible and well known within the communities in which you work.  

You will deliver high quality, responsive services offering personalised solutions for our tenants, reporting colleagues and the communities in which you work. 

You will be naturally customer focused and have a 'can do' attitude to ensure that our customers’ experience of services remain positive.  You will understand the importance of working with our partner agencies to achieve great outcomes for the organisation and our tenants.

The successful candidates will work with colleagues from a variety of backgrounds, applying an approachable and solution-oriented style and will be keen to support and drive the development of a positive working culture across Viewpoint, representing the organisation in all that they do.

To be successful in this role you will bring:-

  • Experience in the delivery of effective and efficient customer-focused housing management.
  • Experience in the management and development of staff teams in the delivery of housing management services.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high levels of organisational, facilitation and communication skills.
  • High levels of ICT literacy with the ability to break down and present complex information to a variety of audiences visually, verbally and in writing.

This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme, therefore you will be required to complete a PVG check and Viewpoint will cover the fee associated with this.
