About the Role and You

We are looking for a new member of staff to work supporting the senior catering team in the preparation and serving of meals.  You will assist with meal preparation, including preparing all vegetables, sandwiches, fresh fruit and fortified drinks as directed. 

You will ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen and dining room and general Health and Safety is adhered to at all times. Previous catering experience is essential, as is a Food Hygiene Certificate. The ability to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills is also essential.

Regular weekend working is required on a rota basis.

If you are successful, you will be required to join the PVG Scheme - Viewpoint will cover the costs of this for you.

Location

You will be based at St Raphael’s Care Home. St Raphael’s is a 63-bed care home located in the Grange area of Edinburgh.  Specialising in Dementia, Nursing, and Residential Care, we were most recently graded 5 (very good) by the Care Inspectorate.
